I would strongly encourage visitors not to rent from Cobb Real Estate. My family has rented from them for several years and were surprised this year when we arrived to find the house in disrepair and with plumbing problems. We did not spend any nights in the house and asked for a refund, which we were denied. Cobb kept 100% of the rental fee, including the linen fee telling us that we should have checked out the property prior to renting. Since we are from Dallas, this is a bit difficult. Our repeated requests to speak with Mr. Cobb (the owner) were denied and we were provided no customer service. I would strongly suggest using another agency for rentals at Crystal Beach. |

Sure hope that the local Chamber of commerce has been following these kind of post about how the quailty of living has deteriorated over the last few years here at crystal beach. If it is not the selective law inforcement it is the way vistors are treated by us local's. I always believed Cobb's Real Estate was one of our shinning stars, but after reading the post about there handling of a paid in advance vistor I must say I now have my doubts about Cobb's . I know there are those vistor's whose visit us and our beach front and dump ther trash and act the fool, but if our law enforcement would focus those kind of bad behavior's, those kind of vistor's would cease to come here. Visiting people bring in much needed revenue and help keep our property values up. But they should all recieve freindly and caring treatment before, during and after there stay with us at crystal beach. I hope the Chamber of commerce here would take an active leading role in instilling these ideals to our local businesses and put pressure where needed to correct the local selective law enforcement that continues here at crystal beach.......... |

a follow-up to my post on 7/29: We did finally hear from Mr. Cobb's assistant, Linda Kramer, on 7/30 and were offered a partial refund that was agreeable to us. Ms. Kramer was very nice and did provide us with a level of customer service that we expected. |
