Welcome To the Bolivar Chamber of Commerce

Bolivar is beautiful, beaches, bays, boating, birding, gulf carts, fishing and building. It's a bedroom community and oceanfront resort for Beaumont, Houston and Dallas and is becoming the Hamptons of the Texas Gulf Coast.

We have 27 miles of sandy beaches. Much of the land is undeveloped and protected by the state and the audubon society. You can drive your beach buggie (gulf cart) the entire length of the peninsula which has become a way of life for many in the community.

Bolivar is the home of popular Crystal Beach and so much more. Bolivar is business at its best and offers a family oriented relaxed lifestyle. Discover Bolivar and you'll never want to leave, best of all, Bolivar is affordable and offers oceanfront opportunities found nowhere else in the United States.

The Bolivar Peninsula is a world unto itself. A narrow strip of land running parallel to the upper southeast Texas coast, bounded one one side by Galveston Bay and the other by the Gulf of Mexico.

Texas General Land Office launches TexasBeachAccess.org

The Texas General Land Office is transitioning away from the temporary 4.5-foot elevation line used to determine the boundary of the public beach after Hurricane Ike. The new maps on TexasBeachAccess.org show the post-Ike boundary of the coast, as determined by the Texas Open Beaches Act.

Crews Raise Bolivar Peninsula's State Hwy 87

BOLIVAR PENINSULA — Crews working on a $6.16 million road project funded by a federal economic stimulus program will begin raising Bolivar Peninsula’s only highway, which was damaged by Hurricane Ike. Work is scheduled to start today.
