Bolivar Peninsula—Galveston County The Texas General Land Office (GLO) Adopt-A-Beach cleanup was a big success. The event was held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Chamber of Commerce, 1760 Highway 87 at Crystal Beach, about 11 miles from ferry landing. We had a great turn-out and a lot of fun.
The winds from Humberto also helped blow all the seaweed off the beach and Bolivar's Beaches have never looked better than right now.	The 2007 winner of the Adopt-a-Beach children's art contest Grand Prize Winner Carla De Lara of Brownsville Texas
