Bolivar Peninsula Crystaland Christmas 2007

Even Santa could appreciate the beautiful, warm weather for the the Bolivar Peninsula Christmas at the beach parade.

With over 10 floats and numerous entries in the lighting contests, the event was a huge success. There were so many people lined up along the beach it looked like Mardi Gras in December! After the parade, dozens of children enjoyed visiting with Santa and snacking on cookies and cider. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes were given to the floats and residential and business lighting contests.

The winners were as follows:

Floats:

1st- Sandy Shores Gang
2nd- Paradise Cart Rentals
3rd- Crenshaw School Dance

Business:
1st- Swede's Real Estate
2nd- Holiday Plaza
3rd- Paradise Cart Rentals
Honorable Mention- City Electric

Residential:
1st- Ron & Brenda Crissman 1833 Croaker Ln
2nd- Jerry & Debbie Valentine 962 Surview
3rd- Alice Gennusa & Howard Porteous 1280 Diamond Rd

Thank you for this wonderful way of bringing us up to date of some of the little, yet important issues on Bolivar...Can we somehow get word when our Mardi Gras parade will be and the theme this year?

Sheila, the Mardi Gras parade will be Feb 2nd, 11:30 am. Theme this year is Rockin & Rollin at the Beach.
