September Community Events 356 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Local News Peninsula Market Day was a great success! They came, they saw, they shopped. Thank you to all who participated- vendors and shoppers. Can't wait till next year. Ready for a "Taste of Bolivar?" This Social Sampler on Sept. 11th will be honoring our local restaurants. Members invited, along with a guest, to celebrate the finest cuisine the Bolivar Peninsula has to offer. Eagles Hall, Crystal Beach, 7 pm - till. Come enjoy an evening of food and fun. Texas Adopt-A-Beach Clean-Up will be held on Saturday Sept. 22nd, from 9 am to 12 pm. Local coordinators Susan Free and Joyce Kenndey will be set up in the parking lot of the Joe Faggard Community Center, 1750 Hwy 87 in Crystal Beach, where volunteers will sign in and receive thier supplies for the clean up. A free hot dog lunch will be provided for all who participate following the clean up. All are invited and your help is greatly appreciated. Wanna get more active in the Chamber? Stop in at the Chamber and pick up a volunteer form. You have the opportunity to make a difference by heading a committee or simply serving on one. You can do as much or as little as you want.
